World-class triple accreditation for RCR Flooring Products Ltd

RCR Flooring Products Ltd, which manufactures the Permaban range of armoured joints, has achieved ISO 45001:2018 occupational health and safety registration, following a successful audit by BSI.

It was almost two years ago that the company first achieved registration for health and safety management to the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard. Achieving ISO 45001:2018 now updates the company’s registration to the very latest international standard.

RCR Flooring Products Ltd also holds both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 registration for quality and environmental management, which positions the company as a triple-accredited organisation, operating to three highly-respected world-class management standards.

With its broader scope, ISO 45001 focuses on identifying and controlling risks, rather than hazards; and also requires companies to consider how their suppliers and contractors manage risk. High-level organisational support for health and safety is also expected, as the new standard requires companies to integrate health and safety management with other management systems – something which RCR Flooring Products has always done. However, in essence, the new standard retains the core aim of reducing unacceptable risks and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in an organization’s activities.

“This achievement, when coupled with our existing ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certification, ensures that RCR’s operations in the UK continue to align within the very latest international quality, environmental and occupational health & safety standards,” commented Laurance Williams, RCR Flooring Products Ltd’s Project Manager, who led the programme to prepare RCR for registration. “It’s a fantastic achievement for us a company, and one which reinforces RCR’s position as a high-calibre, responsible manufacturer.”
